Zell’s Speech
The transcript of Zell’s speech is here. Frank Lutz’ focus group responded much better to Zell and Cheney’s speeches than I would havethought. The fact that Zell Miller is a Democrat immunized him somewhat from criticism of the harshness of his language. Of course, I personally loved the speech, but was afraid it might alienate swing voters. Thankfully, I was wrong. Great news for Bush-Cheney tonight.
UPDATE: Good point made by pundits on t.v. – the tone of Zell’s speech made Cheney look warm and fuzzy by comparison and helped him take off the “Darth Vader mask” the media puts on him.
