An Eerie Prediction

Here’s what I wrote on October 8:

I can’t help worrying about the volatile emotions lefties are feeling these days. I’m not predicting that awful things will come of this; but unbridled emotions, like the kook lefties are experiencing, lead to tragic consequences, like assassinations and suicides.

And the news today is:

A woman rammed a car carrying children into a building where President Bush was campaigning on Saturday, drawing a swarm of police in her wake before being dragged away at gunpoint.

Television footage showed helmeted police officers surrounding the car and struggling with a blond-haired woman who was pushed to the ground and later led away, apparently resisting.

“Bush had to have seen what happened. It was perfect timing. It couldn’t have been a coincidence,” said Chad Payton, 18, a center employee who was waiting to watch Bush leave.

UPDATE: The story’s been updated and the president may have not been in danger:

But the Sheriff’s Department official said the woman had been awake all night arguing with her husband, was late for the event and grew increasingly frustrated as she was turned away from the building at checkpoint after checkpoint.

“She then took the matter into her own hands,” he said.
